Yeye Bolanle Olatunde, Om’Oba Jerry Adesewo and Port Hacourt-based Victor Nwokocha have been elected as members of the National Steering Committee of CORA-Arterial Network.
The election was held during the one-day general assembly of the Nigerian chapter of the continental cultural organization held at Lagos’ White Space Creative Agency on Sunday September 13.
The election of a new National Steering Committee which was the primary agenda of the Elective General Assembly was conducted by the National Coordinator, Mr. Ayo Ganiyu and Mr. Simbo Olorunfemi in the absence of the continental representatives.  
The six-member national steering committee was increased to eight, with two new positions, FCT and Port Harcourt representatives being created.
Yeye Bolanle Olatunde who replaces Omonigho Udenta as Deputy Chairperson in the national steering committee is a Media and Public Relations Practitioner, people development expert and theatre advocate. Upon her graduation from the University of Ilorin she acted for a while in the 90s, in addition to managing Artistes such as the Afro Jazz sensation, Kayode Olajide and the Weavers. She is an art enthusiast and mentee of the legendary Ben Tomoloju.
Bolanle who will assist Jahman Anikulapo as Deputy Chairperson of CORA-Arterial Nigeria had served in the administration of Engr. Segun Oni as Special Assistant on Public Communications and Senior Special Assistant on Diaspora Affairs. 
Also, Publisher of Thespian Magazine, Victor Nwokocha, who is also the current Acting General Manager of the Audio Visual Rights Society (AVRS) was nominated and unanimously elected as the Arterial Nigeria Port Harcourt representative.
Former Secretary of the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA Abuja Chapter) and Founder/Artistic Director of Abuja based theatre outfit, Arojah Royal Theatre Om’Oba Jerry Adesewo, was nominated and returned unopposed as the FCT representative in the National Steering Committee.
In addition to his journalism practice, Adesewo’s  commitment to reviving the theatre culture in Abuja through the activities of his theatre outfit, Arojah Royal Theatre and his role as a culture administrator and activist have singled him out.
As FCT representatives, Adesewo who also occupies the position of National Director of Productions and Screening of NANTAP (National Association of Nigerian Theatre Arts Practitioners) is expected to be the eye of the Arterial Network in Abuja and its environ where there is already an increase of interested members of the network.
Other members of the committee include Jahman Anikulapo, Suleiman Deji Etiwe and Sola Alamutu who were re-elected for a second term in office as Chairperson, Treasurer and Financial Secretary respectively.
Malaika Toyo who was the incumbent Media and Communications Officer was nominated for the position of Cultural Policy Officer and returned unopposed, swapping position with Samuel Osaze who was nominated and elected as the new Media and Communications Officer.
Speaking on behalf of the newly elected National Steering Committee, Yeye Bolanle Olatunde appreciated the entire congress for their commitment to the organization while promising that the new officials will do its best to build on the success so far recorded.
“There is not much we can achieve without you.  It is a priviledge to have been elected into the National Steering Committee. We shall do our best to build on the foundations already laid. Fortunately we still have the great Jahman in the Committee, so it’s going to be a lot easier to continue from where the last committee stopped and I am sure we’ll make the desired impact,” she said.
