The Yobe State Police Command has said it arrested 428 suspects for various capital offences between January and December, 2025.
The spokesperson of the command, SP Dungus Abdulkarim, who disclosed this to newsmen, said the suspects were arrested for various capital offences, including kidnapping, armed robbery, rape and culpable homicide.
SP Abdulkarim added that 298 suspects were apprehended for minor offences such as theft, burglary, cheating and breach of public peace.
He said most of the suspects had already been arraigned while a few cases remained under investigation.
