Residents of Geidam Local Government Area of Yobe State have mourned the death of Ibrahim Tijjani Saleh, the District Head of Laruski and son to the Emir of Gazargamu, Alhaji Tijjani Saleh Geidam.
The emir confirmed the death of his son via a text message to our correspondent.

A family source said the prince died following a tricycle (Keke Napep) accident on Sunday in Maiduguri, Borno State.
He said, “The district head was rushed to Maiduguri Teaching Hospital Trauma Centre immediately after the incident, but sadly we lost him.
“He died in his early 30s and left behind a wife and two children”.
His associates described the death of the district head as a big loss to the people of Laruski District, Gazargamu Emirate, Yobe State and the nation at large.
The Emir of Bade, Alhaji Abubakar Suleiman, has condoled with the people of Gazargamu Emirate, saying the late district head would be remembered for his dignity, integrity and boundless love for his people and commitment to their well-being and progress.
