Bade Emirate in Yobe state has called on wealthy individuals and philanthropists to invest heavily in girl-child education and young talents to reduce the level of illiteracy in both western and Islamic education.

Matawallen Bade and founder and sponsor of Madarasatul Noorul Islam Gashua, Dr. Yerima Lawan Ngama made the appeaĺ, Sunday, at the 3rd round of speech and prize giving day of the school in Gashua town.

Ngama said the school was established three years back under the guide of the Emir to uncover the wealth that lies hidden in the children to help them pursue career of their dreams.

"Because, every child in the emirate deserve good education, and its not only the responsibility of government to educate them but the wealthy individuals and philanthropists in the society.

He said the school, which has a blend of western and Islamic education would train the children on achieving better social outcome that the society require.

"The students performances proved that the teachers had placed high value in training the society, and the golden upportunity we want to give to this little children is achievable", he added.

The Chairman governing Board of the school, Alhaji Abubakar Bukari, said the school is meant to give the students a good foundation in both art and sciences and also in Islamic and Arabic education.

He observed that there is hunger and a very big gap in education that parents needed to fill in the society but was not possible due to lack of funds and facilities.

"We intend to admit only 150 students in this academic session but over 4000 pupils applied. So there is hunger and a very big gap that people wanted that children to joint the school", he added.

He also said that infrastructures in the school are overstretched and the burden of day to day running of the school is heavy on the sponsor, therefore appeal for more support to increase facilities and admissions intake the school.
