The late Ba’aba retired from the judiciary after serving as the Justice of the Kaduna Court of Appeal.
He was honoured with an award of Officer of the Federal Republic (OFR) by the late President Umaru Musa ‘Yar adua in 2008. He also served as a member of the National Conference convened by President Goodluck Jonathan in 2014.
The Dan Masanin Fika and former secretary to the Yobe State government, Alhaji Baba Ba’ba, who spoke on behalf of the family, said the late legal luminary died in the early hours of Friday following an illness.
He described the late chief judge as a pillar of their family who preached peace, justice for all and mutual coexistence. “Throughout his life as a judge, our late brother always emphasized that being just was a sign of fear of the creator,” he stressed.
 He was survived by a wife and nine children, and was buried in Kaduna on Friday according to Islamic rites.
