Yobe recruits Egyptian professors, doctors for medical college

Yobe state governor Ibrahim Gaidam has approved recruitment of three professors and two PhDs from Egypt and 30 other Nigerians for the newly established College of Medical Sciences at the Yobe State University, Dsmaturu.

A statement by the Director-General, Press Affairs to the state governor, Abdullahi Bego said the employment of the additional personnel was on permanent and pensionable as well as sabbatical basis.

According to the statement, the recruitments cover both academic and non-academic cadres of the College and will ensure its smooth take-off.

Bego also revealed that among those recruited includes professor of human physiology, 18 graduate assistants, and 11 laboratory technologists and assistant laboratory technologists.

"The public may recall that His Excellency Governor Gaidam had earlier approved the appointment of a provost for the College" The statement added.
