Residents of Anguwar Jaji area in Potiskum, Yobe State, have arrested three suspected thieves raiding an uncompleted clinic.
City & Crime learnt that after removing all the faucets in the clinic, some residents apprehended the suspects and handed them over to the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
When our reporter visited the NSCDC office in Jigawar-Potiskum District, the 2IC, Salisu Madu, confirmed the incident.
In an interview, one of the suspects said, “My name is Munkaila Isyaka. I am from Nahuta area in Potiskum. I was a mechanic before I started stealing. I can’t count the number of houses I have attacked.’’
Another suspect said, “We do it in a group, with one of us standing outside and two of us go inside the house. We remove any metal we see inside the house and also pull out electrical wires.”
