Other recipients are: Abuja Chairman of Nigerian Union of Road Transport Owners (NARTO), Alhaji Sidi Abubakar, National president of Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN) Sadiq Abubakar, Director General Directorate of Technical Aid Corp, Pius Osunyikanmi and the president Foundation for the Elderly and the Poor, Hajiya Habibat Abubakar.
Oba of the FCT Yoruba community, His Royal Majesty, Oba Olusegun Salau said the community has not been enjoying some of its rights for a long time. “We are suppose to have slots in employment and pilgrimage to Mecca and Jerusalem but all these has been eluding us,” he said
While calling on Senator Bala Mohammed, whom he described as a listening minister, to come to the aid of the community, he advised Nigerians and government at all levels to be wary of politicians who claim to be representing the community or President General of the FCT Yoruba community association saying there is no such position but just that of the Oba.
He said such people write letters and extort money from unsuspecting government officials and members of the public advising them to always verify such claims from him.
