The Yobe State Emergency Management Agency (YOSEMA) has delivered food and non-food items to victims of the recent flood in Jajimaji, the headquarters of Karasuwa Local Government Area. Five days ago, hundreds of residents in the community were rendered homeless by a torrential downpour. The items donated include rice, millet, guinea corn, noodles, vegetable oil, blankets, plastic Buckets and clothes. According to the chairman of the Karasuwa Local Government, Mr. Ubaliyo Gambo, the council is working on plans for the relocation of people living within the flood prone areas to curb the perennial humanitarian disasters occasioned by the chronic incidence of flood within the Karasuwa township.
