In these series, we shall be looking at Dreams and how we can harness them as avenues of revelation and guidance for shapening our lives.

Dream, often referred to as “vision of the night”, is a key channel of divine revelation. Check it out. People who have mastery over their life challenges are those people who reign by secrets.  Secrets rule the world. You have access to these as personalised divine secrets through your dreams. Tremendous things happen through dreams and visions. Secrets of breakthroughs can be revealed to you. You can make right choices easily. Life changing blueprints can be revealed to you in dreams. You can also know the mind of God.

Your dream world is your eye into the past, the present and the future. If your eyes get sick or blind, your illumination becomes dull and this affects the speed of your movement. You must know that dream is a channel that helps you to enjoy divine direction towards fulfilling your divine destiny.

Often dreams come in form of “dark speeches” or hard sayings, parables or mysteries. Dreams and visions are means of opening your eyes to useful mysteries that can help you to confidently face life challenges. If you dream and you cannot sleep again because of fear, this will be due to your lack of understanding. But when you understand the meaning of your dream and you know what to do, then you will have rest of mind.

Note that the word Dream and Vision are used interchangeably in the scriptures as synonyms. There are two schools of thought on the difference between dreams and vision. One says vision requires no interpretation, and that, dream is usually symbolic and requires interpretation. Some say dreams occur when you are asleep and visions occur when you are awake. The most important thing to know is that they are similar, also both are revelational in nature, and they are avenues of communication. How then can we define dream?

Dream is a dark speech or statement of the night. It is a vision in sleep. It is what you see while sleeping. Dreams are secrets revealers. It is not a wish or desire that is converted to reality, or a story that is formed through divination or trance.

Dream is simply what you see or hear in the subconscious when you are asleep. Sometimes it is like watching a play while sleeping. It is not a conscious experience, rather, it happens in the subconscious realm.

Dream is common thing to both believers and unbelievers, so it is not necessarily among the nine gifts of the Spirit (1Corinthians.12), neither is it among ministerial gifts, though it is an avenue through which revelational gifts can be manifested. Because dream is associated with sleep, and since most people sleep at night, it is common as a night time experience.

Dream is a channel of divine communication. Great mysteries have been communicated by God to his people in the Bible days and in the ancient times through dreams, and up till today, God is still using this channel from time to time to speak to his people.

Dream is like a sign board that shows the way in a journey. It is like a thermometer that shows you your spiritual temperature, and like a mirror that shows how you look like in the spiritual, whether you are free or bound. It also shows you where the vehicle of your life is positioned, whether it’s been hijacked, driven by a stranger, and whether it is on the right track or not.

The dream world is like a pipe that connects you to the spirit world. A realm of secrets where information of past, present and future events are revealed. The realm of dream is like a spiritual television where events of your life and others can be watched. There is limit to what the eyes can see, but through dreams and visions, your eyes can see far beyond the physical. Your dream tells you more about yourself, your circumstances and your life!
