You are destined to excel (Part 3)

Text: Daniel 6:1- end

16 Things that took Daniel to the top
9. Daring and prevailing faith. He was a man of faith. He knew and believed in God. He learnt how to depend on God for everything and in everything. He acted on his knowledge of God. He went to God for the interpretation of the King’s dream. He trusted God to deliver him from the lions. Dear Father, help me to develop prevailing faith.
10. Generosity. Pro 11:24-25“24 There is one who scatters, yet increases more; And there is one who withholds more than is right, But it leads to poverty. 25    The generous soul will be made rich, And he who waters will also be watered himself.” What you make happen for others God makes happen for you. You do not decrease by helping others. God wants you to be distribution channel and not a reservoir. I broke the back of poverty in my life through giving. God’s mind has always been to bless you and make you a blessing. I discovered that harvest does not follow need but harvest is programmed to follow seed. A liberal soul shall be made fat. Look around you today, there is someone who needs your leftover. Share a meal with someone today and soon you will be feeding hundreds.
11.Passion. Passion is a fire that emanates from your heart. It connects with the things that you love and cherish. It is the obsession or craze of your innermost being. It is doing what makes you happy and fulfilled. Passion is what makes you see obstacles as opportunities. Nothing is difficult where there is passion. It is the fuel of successful people. Passion is the energy that drives you when you feel tired. Failure is guaranteed when you focus on doing things you have no obsession for. That is why you must do what you enjoy doing in order to move up the ladder of success. I have a passion for teaching and making others successful. I have a passion for leading people out of suffering and pain. That is why I will always go the extra mile to look for things that will help people achieve their dream. You must train in the area of your gifting and calling if life is not to be a burden.
12. Problem solving. I believe the major key common to people who moved to the top of the ladder was problem solving. Daniel was trained and gifted to interpret dreams, and divine communication to kings. We see this issue of solving problems leading to promotion in the life of Joseph. He effectively and efficiently managed Potiphar’s business and household. He managed the prisoners for the chief warder. He interpreted dreams for the Pharaoh’s baker and butler. His ability to interpret dreams got him out of prison into the heart of Pharaoh where once again his administrative skills saved Egypt and the world then. Goliath was a problem to Israel that no one could solve until David showed up and took care of him. His fame rose instantly. His ability to play and sing got him a job in the palace of King Saul. He solved the problem of the evil spirit that was disturbing the king. The people in the communication industry solved the problem of communication and today we are paying them a lot of money for it. There are many problems in this nation waiting to be solved for which you will be paid. Many people dabble into solving problems others have identified and solved. It’s difficult to break into such markets. Find problems no one has solved and dabble into it. You are not only guaranteed to make money, you will rise to the top faster than you can imagine.
13. Diligence. Pro 22:29“Do you see a man diligent in his business? He shall stand before kings.” It is part of the human nature to follow the line of least resistance. Many believers are hiding behind the wall of prayer afraid to confront the work that is required to move them forward. But if you are going to succeed, you will have to do what King Solomon said; you have to become diligent in your business. The anointing enables the labours of your hand to prosper. You cannot pray and remain in your house and expect to move forward. Daniel, Joseph and all the other great people we read about in the Bible worked very hard and very smart. I work very hard and smart. I pray, I study, organize, hold meetings and do all sorts of things to make the ministry move forward. You have no right to complain until you have done your best. “The hand of the diligent bears rule.” Pro 12:24
What is diligence? From Solomon’s perspective, Diligence is “a learnable skill that combines: creative persistence, a smart-working effort rightly planned and rightly performed in a timely, efficient, and effective manner to attain a result that is pure and of the highest quality of excellence.” A diligent person pays attention to detail, both in planning and execution. A diligent person is organized, effective and efficient. A diligent person is persistent in pursuing his objectives.
