Nigerians on various social media platforms have angrily reacted to media personality and social activist, Shade Ladipo, after she advised, Annie Idibia, the wife of legendary singer, 2baba, to ask her husband to get a vasectomy.
Shade took to her Instagram story to give a piece of unsolicited advice to Annie Idibia, saying that the actress should advise her husband, a father of seven children to get a vasectomy.
The procedure called, vasectomy, is an elective surgical process for male sterilisation or permanent contraception.
During the procedure, the male vasa deferentia (the tube that connects the testes with the urethra) are cut and tied or sealed so as to prevent sperm from entering into the urethra and thereby prevent fertilization of a female through sexual intercourse.
In her post, Shade said, “I love you Annie so now would be a great time to ask 2face to get a vasectomy. I mean there are enough kids in the mix. #JustAThought”
Reacting to the post, Nigerians have slammed the media personality and said she has no right to advise the singer on such an issue.
Taking to the Instagram platform, a user @ladyque_1 said, “This is disrespectful. Who are you to decide for them?”
Sharing the same opinion, another user of the platform, @ar3thaa said, “What happened to sending her a dm?”(sic)
Also, @ifeomaherself said, “how many children do you have in your name?? #smh”. While the user with the handle, @mallow_xx said, “Shade, but it’s not your business!!”
Likewise, @mz_habeebat said, “This is disrespectful, 2baba no be anybody mate for this industry. Aunty shift abeg.”(sic)
The user with the handle @pretty.Judy said, “That’s an insult on 2baba and Annie..Shade, you go soon collect, don’t worry.”
However, Annie and 2Baba are yet to react to the advice.
