What attracted you to school business?
I have a love for education and want to provide real opportunity for schools and students to be successful. As a former teacher I saw leadership as new avenue to shape not just the child, but also the process of the system of education.  
How do you intend to make your school different from others where exploitation and exam malpractice are the business of the day?
First, exam malpractice and unnecessary exploitation are not rampant in the early years and primary level, which is where we service. However, it is important that our focus remains on developing the child as a whole not just stress the academic success. Also, part of our education process is to help build and role model, positive character traits that we want our students to exhibit later on in life; traits such as honesty, courage, respect, leadership and etc. Having these traits, students will know they have a moral and academic responsibility to hold themselves to a higher standard than malpractice.  
What kind of students should the public expect from your school?
 Woodentods is committed to cultivating the whole child. We submerge them in a family setting and have a rigorous curriculum. Our students are praised daily for even the smallest accomplishments which gives them confidence. Our students will become individuals that appreciate education and understand its importance. The public should expect, intelligent, critical thinking citizens with high morals who are proactive rather that reactive to the world issues around them. Future trailblazers!
The key areas where private schools mostly excel are quality of teachers and conducive environment. What assurance would you give to parents in that respect?
 I won’t speak for other schools but Woodentods does have a standard of quality teachers and a nurturing environment. We are committed to forging strong bonds with our parents and open communication is the key. Our PTA is growing and has insight and the responsibility to express their observations and help us set goals to ensure that quality of service continues to grow.
Private schools are not sending their teachers to training rather they rely on government for that, do you have any plan on training your teachers?
This has not been my experience. However, for our school, our teachers receive monthly professional development from me. I spent the last five years plus in the states receiving professional development training to train staff in areas such as class room management, whole brain teaching, differentiated instruction, assessments, instruction driven by data, teacher Mentor Strategies and etc.  Also, I believe that we must build from within. Veteran teachers who have been in the classroom for a while have lots of best teaching practices that they can share with others. Also, we invite local educators/consultants in the area to our school and share their expertise with our teachers.  
Private schools are synonymous with miscellaneous charges. How can this trend be reduced if not completely stopped?
We are honest in any increments that will be applied. Parents are given a breakdown of tuition and school fees in advance. I believe that you need check and balance to make sure that every party in school business is being up front and fair. That means, the board of directors, owner of the school, head of school, accountant, and PTA all need to have purposeful dialogue of expectant financial procedures of the school. This will assure everyone is on one accord and supporting the vision and mission of the school.
