Young start-ups seek partnership on business growth

A team of young start-ups led by Adanian Labs has reiterated its commitment to the growth of African start-ups in order to reduce youth unemployment and boost entrepreneurship.

The team led by Adanian Labs’ community manager, Alexander Chiejina, was on a tour of some media houses in Lagos to deepen collaboration on scaling up innovative business initiatives across Africa with the aim of boosting youth empowerment.

Adanian Labs is a venture studio supporting start-ups across Africa that are building solutions and supporting technologists as part of a drive to grow the African start-up ecosystem.

According to Chiejina, Adanian Labs as a venture builder has been able to build BetaLife, Strich Inc., and Afya Rekod (Afya is a Swahili depicting health), three start-ups within the first half of 2022.

BetterLife is a start-up that provides blood bank services and also manages the blood donation process.

Strich is a start-up that helps small retail outlets to manage their records and inventories (book-keeping), while Afya Rekod deals with the management of the doctor-patient relationship and medical records.

“To us at Adanian Labs; at the core of what we do is mentoring, growing start-ups that will become sustainable, create jobs, and add value to the Africa continent,” Chiejina said.

Founder of Strich, Peter Ayeni, said that the app was built to provide small scale businesses with tools and solutions to help track sales, send invoices, generate receipts and keep track of their income.

He added that as at 2021 when the app was launched, over 100 businesses joined the platform and Adanian labs had also helped to upgrade the product to a more global solution.
