Some groups of Nigerians, who subscribed to different grants in the country, have urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to direct officials responsible for the release of the grants to urgently do so directly to beneficiaries.

The National President of Youth Forum for Development in Africa (YFDA) Dr. Paschal Anyanwu, who spoke on behalf of the masses during a press briefing in Abuja, however commended President Tinubu for his passion for the masses while appealing for his intervention in the speedy release of the United Alliance African Grant (UAAG) grant under his watch.

He said that their call was due to present condition of things in the country, as they could no longer bear the worsening economic hardship affecting their lives negatively.

“Over 50 million Nigerians who subscribed for the grant over the years, are eagerly waiting for the disbursement. It is regrettable that some of them have died, while many are currently sick, frustrated, depressed, homeless, while some have had their children chased from school in the course of waiting for this same grant,” Anyanwu said.

He said he believe in the capacity of President Tinubu to listen to the cry of the dying masses, and that the urgent release of the grant will no doubt increase the confidence of thgenda of the current administration.

He equally called for patience and understanding on the part of the masses, believing that President Tinubu, as a listening father and mentor, will hear the wailings of the masses and instruct the speedy disbursement of the UAAG grant to every Nigerian who subscribed to it.

Also speaking, the UAAG Country Director, Apostle Ken Nwakanma, called on Nigerians to pray for the success of the current administration, emphasising that President Tinubu will not disappoint the masses at a critical time as this.

He also appealed to the masses to remain positive, steadfast and prayerful toward the realisation of the pending grant disbursement.
