The Kano Youth Organisation in Abuja (KAYOAB) will begin the distribution of free JAMB forms for the less privileged indigenes of Kano state.
The organisation Public Relations Officer, Alhassan A. Bala in a statement said the distribution of pre-screening forms will begin on Monday, January 21, 2019 at 10 centers across the three senatorial zones.
He said the organisation’s President , Balarabe Sarki Abdullahi explained that Kano South is has three centres; Government Secondary School, Rano; Government Secondary Commercial School, Wudil, and Government College Tudunwada Dankadai, while Kano North has, ICT Centre, along FCE (T) road, Bichi; Islamic Centre, Gwarzo and Islamic Centre, Danbatta.
Kano Central, however, has four centres thus; Day Science Secondary School, Government Secondary School, Rijiyar Zaki, Aminu Kano Commercial Secondary School and Islamic Centre Kura.
He added that students with 9 credits can apply and will have to undergo a screening exercise, where the most qualified students would be contacted and also be taken for training.
The president added that the organization will ensure that all candidates that score the university cut-off marks would get admission into any university of their choice.
He said “Apart from the free JAMB forms, we are also making plan to support them with at least some amount of money for registration since they came from the less privilege family”.
