Youth told to turn away from terrorism

Youth have been asked to resist the path of terrorists and maximize their time by engaging in productive activities.
Imam Douglas Owen-Ali of the Global Oneness Inc. Miami, Florida, USA, made the comments during the second  public lecture of Sule Lamido University, Kafin Hausa, Jigawa State titled “Building Global Bridges of Understanding – An Islamic perspective: The Universal Cry for Equal Rights and Justice.”
He said the empowerment of disenfranchised people will improve people’s potential and ‘global oneness’ and called on the Nigerian youths to resist all forms of extremism and terrorism. He said Islam is a religion of peace and tolerance.
The Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Abdullahi Yusufu Ribadu said the lecture was meant to educate the public on subjects bordering around Science, Arts, and Humanities.
