The University of Ilorin Students’ Union has said youth unemployment is a growing concern in the country and called on the federal government to adopt strategies for reducing unemployment.
The President Comrade Alao Idris made the remarks at a media briefing recently. He said the rate of youth unemployment was high and urged the youth to acquire skills to boost their employability. He also asked the federal government to adopt plans for reduction of unemployment.
 He said the media briefing was organised to enhance public awareness about the forthcoming University’s 40th anniversary celebrations and enjoin students to participate in the exercise.
