Governor Okezie Ikpeazu says his administration has created and will sustain platforms that will avail opportunities to the citizens especially the youths to aspire towards self-actualisation and become greater leaders of tomorrow which is the essence of leadership.

Governor Ikpeazu, who disclosed this at his Aba lodge Wednesday night when members of the Maduforo Youths Movement paid him a courtesy visit, explained that his administration recognises the need to empower the youths on the rudiments of leadership to deepen democracy.

He said that his government is collaborating with the French government to establish the Youth Acquisition Centre at the Nsulu Games Village while the planned Automated Garment factory at Umukalika, Obingwa will generate over 100 direct jobs for young people.

The President, Maduforo Youths Movement, Mr Nwazuo Stephen said the non-political group is aimed at enthroning good governance, youth inclusion and sustainable empowerment. He thanked Governor Ikpeazu for conducting local government elections that produced many youths as officials.

He appealed for empowerment of the youths in ICT and Agriculture which are the alternative ventures for economic survival.
