Youths tasked on right career choices

Youths in Anambra state have been challenged to pursue professional courses in institutions of higher learning in other to add value to the society and become self reliant.

The Director for Moral Mentorship, Mrs. Aisha Edwards who made the call in Awka, attributed the mad rush of youths to politics.

including those with professional courses, to lack of proper guidance on career choices as well as lack of proper advice from parents.

Describing the youths as future leaders, Edwards regretted the negative impacts such wrong career choices have on the society, including dearth of professionals like doctors, lawyers and architects.

She challenged mothers to rise to the challenge by effectively playing their role  through proper guidance of their children on the right track in life.

“Mothers who are closer to the children must see it as a responsibility to properly guild their children in making the right career choice.”
