Hundreds of youths in the country have joined a new movement, We2GedaNG to work towards eliminating politics of godfatherism and thuggery.

The unveiling of the movement, which was held at Bristol Palace Hotel in Kano, attracted young and vibrant Nigerians from all the major political parties, as well as non-partisan ones.

The national convener of the movement, Ibrahim Abdulkarim, said the aim of the group was to unite young Nigerians under one platform to forge a common avenue that would ensure active youth participation in nation building.

He said members share in the vision of the group, working together for a better and prosperous Nigeria where all lives matter.

Abdulkarim, who is also the chairman Board of Trustees of the group, said the movement was committed to addressing three key issues related to youth which include eliminating politics of godfatherism, money politics and using the youth as thugs during and after elections by the politicians.
