Salome, who spoke in support of maintaining the current age restrictions on elective positions, said the provision was to allow youths to “gain experience first” before taking leadership positions in their desire to contribute to nation building.
“Youths saying they are not being carried along is unfair to government. If there is something they want done, they should synergise and come up with suggestions. Even in their elections, there have problems; they should learn to work together.”
