Speaking during an interaction with journalists in Bauchi yesterday, Barau said government does not want to join issues with anybody but to put the records straight, saying allegations that Yuguda was working against PDP were “blatant lies, baseless and unfounded.
“Right now, we are working for the success of PDP. He said it times without number that he is for PDP even when we are together or when he is in the midst of other people. These allegations were blatant lies, baseless and unfounded,” he said.
Asked about the stoning incident that took place during President Goodluck Jonathan’s campaign rally in the state, the commissioner said “it was very unfortunate that a beneficiary of the benevolence of Malam Isa Yuguda would go a long way in denigrating the status and position of his benefactor.”
