Last week, iconic Nigerian thespian, Yul Edochie, lost his first son, Kambilichukwu, while playing football. According to a close source who spoke to Daily Trust, the young man slumped during the match, however, he had no symptoms of illness before his death.

Ever since the report of the death of the teenager about four days ago, the family has been silent, especially the deceased father and mother — Yul and May.

However, on Monday Yul Edochie’s elder brother, Linc, who is also a filmmaker stated that evil has an expiry date. While speaking about the loss of the family, Linc, thanked everyone who reached out to their family as they mourn.

Taking to his Instagram post, he said, “Hello everyone, how are you all doing, I hope you are all doing great. The last couple of days have been completely traumatising, I am going to lie. The Bible says that in all things give thanks to God. It is difficult practising this because as human beings but still the Bible does not lie.

“It says that in all things give thanks to God. I pray that by the grace of God, we are going to emerge stronger from this. I also know that evil has an expiring date. May God bless each and every one of you. Thank you for your kind words and God bless you all.”

Sadly, the thespian’s son died two months after Edochie celebrated his 16th birthday with his first wife, Mary Edochie.

Yul had on January 4 celebrated the deceased birthday via his verified Instagram handle, saying, “A very happy 16th birthday to my first son, Kambilinachukwu Leo Yul-Edochie. May God lead and protect you always. With many more happy years. Daddy loves you.”

Referred to as Kambilinachukwu Leo Yul-Edochie by his father, the young boy was birthed by the actor and his first wife, May. Edochie got married to his first wife May Aligwe when he was 22 years old. Their union was blessed with three sons and a daughter.
