The Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service (NSC), Adewale Adeniyi, has called Nigerians to live in peaceful coexistence during the yuletide season, adding that the service will double its efforts in safeguarding the country’s borders. 

Adeniyi stated this over the weekend in Abuja during the end-of-year Christmas event organised by the service. 

He said, “Nigeria is a diverse country and during such seasons, living in peaceful coexistence is the only thing that should be on Nigeria’s minds as our strength lies in our diversity. 

“As for the Customs Service, we have had a very strong year since I took over six months ago and have posted positive results. We shall consolidate on such results in the year 2024 with a corporation of our gallant officers,” he said.

The customs also noted that the service in partnership with other sister security agencies will remain resolute in securing the country’s border against smugglers.
