The Chairman, House Committee on Judiciary, Mr Onofiok Luke, representing Etinan, Nsit Ubium and Nsit Ibom Federal Constituency has doled out N20 million as Christmas gift to his constituents in Akwa Ibom State. 

Speaking in Nsit Ubium Local Government Area during a stakeholders/end of year get-together, Luke said the Christmas package was to ensure members of the constituency celebrate the festive season despite the harsh economy. 

He announced that Etinan, Nsit Ubium and Nsit Ibom would share N6 million, N5.5 million, N5.5 million respectively totaling N17 million, while N3 million would be for the leaders of the constituency.  

“This is from the proceeds of any constituency project. This is not the money from the federal government to come and do empowerment. It is my personal savings with my family. It is savings from what God has given to me to come and share with you.  

“I would still come back for  constituency empowerment and when that time comes, all of you would be informed about it,” he stated.
