Yusuf Maitama Sule varsity matriculates 4,200 students

The Yusuf Maitama Sule University, Kano yesterday matriculated 4, 200 students into the 2018/2019 academic session.
The Vice-Chancellor of the university, Professor Mustapha Ahmad Isa, said out of more than 30, 000 applicants in the 2018/2019 session, about 9,000 qualified for screening.
He said the university now has five faculties and arrangements had been concluded to have an additional faculty in the next academic session.
Professor Isa said the university had succeeded in accessing the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) to the tune of N3 billion for the construction of two new faculties at its permanent site.
