Speaking to Trustsports yesterday, the coach said losing 1-5 to Rangers in Enugu was a painful defeat because his players gave a good account of themselves.

He said at the end of the match, they did not leave the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in shame because they gave their opponents a good fight.

Mohammed said the players did well against Rangers but the goals refused to come.

He added that officiating was super and if given the same officiating today against Sharks, his boys will surely carry the day.

The coach said the team has since put behind it the pains of last week’s scandalous defeat as he maintained that Zamfara United will not continue to sulk over spilled milk.

He noted that even as Sharks are not doing badly in the league, they would meet their waterloo today as they battle his team for the maximum points.

His words: “Although we lost by a wide margin in our last match against Rangers, it does not mean will did not play well. The result did not reflect our performance. We did not leave the stadium in shame because everybody saw that we played well.

“The officiating was super and I believe that if that continues, our league will go place. I have no single complaint with any of the goals we conceded. If today we enjoy the same quality of officiating, we shall surely beat Sharks.

“We have since put behind us the disappointment in Enugu. We are poised to pick the maximum points in this match. We have regained ourselves.

Mohammed maintained that his team will not aim at scoring many goals as the ultimate aim is to get the maximum points.

“I cannot say we want to score many goals as our target is to bag the three points. I can assure you that we are going to play well and in the end collect the maximum points”, he stated.
