The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Zamfara State Friday said it intercepted 160 motorcycles meant for delivery to bandits in 2022.
The corps’ spokesman in the state, Ikor Oche, said they arrested 28 suspected informants to bandits, noting that they had been prosecuted and remanded at correctional centres.
He also said that supplies of petrol meant for bandits were also intercepted in large quantities.
He listed other items intercepted as supplies to the bandits including drugs, alcohol, other dangerous substances, foodstuff and uniforms of various security formations.
He further disclosed that in the year under review, they apprehended a trailer load of a decommissioned NITEL suspected to have been vandalised in Talata Mafara LGA.
