Zaria Academy wins Murdock Foundation prize

The teacher, Mr. Kazeem Balogun, won the Summer fellowship prize for Innovative Teachers for Mathematics with his work titled: “Use of Computer in Teaching Basic Education Principles from Simple to complex, Known to Unknown using Microsoft Excel to Teach Computer based Arithmetic and Mathematics.”
According to a statement from the school, Balogun was the second teacher to have won the foundation prize from the school.
The other teacher who won the prize was Mr. Garba Usman, in 2014.
The statement said that the prize has indicated that Zaria Academy was truly an international school where learning was achieved without any consideration to borders.
The Murdock Thompson Foundation Fellowship prize is a USA national competition which has been holding in the last 18 years for secondary schools.
