The Agora of Zuba, Alhaji Mohammed Bello Umar, has called on farmers and herders in his chiefdom to live in peace.
Speaking during the celebration of Sallah, Saturday, he urged the farmers to report any damage caused to their crops by herders to their village chief or district head to resolve the matter amicably.
He called on parents, especially mothers, to teach their children moral values, saying that mothers have more responsibility in the socialisation of children.
“I believe that if a mother can give a child  good training and the child grows up with it, such child will become useful in future and contribute to the development of the society,” he said.
He advised youth to acquire both western and Islamic knowledge so that they can be better placed to contribute to the development of the society.
The traditional ruler, therefore, called on the authorities of the council and the FCT Administration to provide amenities with direct bearing on the lives of people of the area.
