Borno State Governor, Prof Babagana Umara Zulum, has presented Engr Mustapha Gubio, gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Spokesman of the governor, Dauda Iliya, made this known to newsmen in Maiduguri, Borno State capital, on Saturday.

Gubio, who was earlier endorsed by the party stakeholders as sole candidate, was affirmed as the party’s flagbearer on Thursday.

During the visit to Aso Rock with Gubio, Zulum hailed Tinubu for his “unwavering commitment to peace and reconstruction” in the NorthEast.

He said the President’s leadership had been instrumental to the APC’s cohesion and progressive governance in the region.

The Governor was accompanied by a member of the House of Representatives, Engr Bukar Talba.
