Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum, has urged the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) to fast-track the final certification of Muhammadu Buhari Airport for international operations.

He made the appeal during a visit to the NCAA headquarters in Abuja, where discussions focused on removing technical bottlenecks and securing the aerodrome licence required for international flights.

Sources indicate that Governor Zulum also advocated for the establishment of a regional NCAA office in Maiduguri to strengthen aviation regulation and improve operational efficiency in the North-East region.
