Zuma FM, a community radio station based in Suleja, near Abuja, has held a two-day agricultural harvest festival.

The event, which ended last weekend, aimed at providing a platform for the rural farmer in and around Suleja, Niger, FCT, Kaduna, Nasarawa and Kogi states.

It was graced by rural farmers across the region that came en masse as members of agricultural cooperative societies and individual agribusiness owners.

The farmers also listened to lectures on topics covering agribusiness financing, use of technology for communication across regions, primary health and safety standards for farm workers, agricultural drone administration, storage and business administration.

The festival coordinator, Mr Shuaibu Kere-Ahmed, assured the farmers of the continuity of the agricultural festival, adding that the radio house is playing a vital role to connect them to wider audience and pave the way to closing the technology divide.
