South Africa’s President Jacob Zuma has lodged a complaint with the office of the anti-corruption watchdog over a leaked audio recording of his meeting with its former head, his office has said.
A private television station had broadcast the audio of the discussion between Thuli Madonsela, the former Public Protector, and Mr Zuma, when she was investigating allegations that he let a wealthy family influence appointments in his cabinet.
Mr Zuma has denied all wrongdoing, and has insisted that he is in charge of government.
