Hukumar Lafiya ta Duniya (WHO) ta ce ma’aikatan lafiya 41,000 ne suka kamu da cutar COVID-19 a yayin jinyar masu cutar.
A sakonta na Ranar Tsaron Lafiyar Majinyata ta Duniya, Darektar WHO a Afirka, Dakta Matshidiso Moeti, ta ce ma’aikatan lafiyar su ne kashi 3.8 cikin 100 na wadanda suka kamu da COVID-19 a yankin.
Ta ce, “Ma’aikatan lafiya na cikin babban hadadin harbuwa da cutar saboda kulawar da suke ba wa marasa lafiya”.
Jami’ar ta ce duk da haka kasashen Saliyo da Cote d’Ivoire sun kokarta wajen takaita yawan kamuwar ma’aikatan lafiya da cutar.
A Eritiriya da Rwanda da Seychelles kuma ba a samu ma’aikatan lafiya da suka kamu da cutar ba.
Dakta Moeti bayyana cewa WHO ta horas da jami’an lafiya 50,000 a Afirka kan kariya da kuma kula da cututtuka masu yaduwa.
Ta ce nan gaba hukumar na shirin horas da karin ma’aikatan lafiya 200,000 a kan hakan.
