Two persons were killed after a trailer rammed into a bus at Mandaregi village on the Abuja-Lokoja highway.
A witness, Shuaibu Aliyu, said the accident happened around 5pm on Saturday when the driver of a DAF trailer loaded with tiles coming from the Lokoja axis veered off his lane and crashed into a bus, killing two people on the spot.

Our correspondent, who arrived at the scene shortly after the accident, observed men of the FRSC evacuating the corpses into their patrol van, while other officials were busy controlling traffic.
Our reporter also learnt that three persons were injured in another accident which occurred on Thursday in Kotonkarfe on the same Abuja-Lokoja highway.
It was gathered that the accident involved a truck with Registration Number: AAA 871 XW, and an unmarked trailer.
When contacted, the Abaji Unit Commander of FRSC, Shehu Abubakar Dogondaji, confirmed the incidents, saying the two corpses of the first accident had been deposited at the Abaji General Hospital.
