2023 presidency: Tambuwal will stabilise Nigeria – Group

Sokoto State Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal

The Tambuwal Volunteers, a network of youth organisations across Nigeria, has said the Sokoto State governor, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, would stabilise Nigeria if given the presidential mandate at the expiration of President Muhammdu Buhari’s tenure in 2023.

The group also urged the governor to ensure that the nation’s youths are given principal roles in his presidential campaign.

Acting national chairman of the organisation, Comrade Bilal Sidi Abubakar, told Daily Trust Sunday in Abuja that they were delighted that Governor Tambuwal heeded their calls to commence nationwide consultations with a view to declaring his intention to contest for the 2023 presidency.

“We are indeed relieved because Nigerians have been waiting for this moment. Governor Tambuwal’s entry into the presidential race will rekindle the hope of most Nigerians in the future progress and stability of the Nigerian nation.

“Governor Tambuwal is the right person to navigate Nigeria through these troubled times. He is a bridge-builder, an astute administrator and a political strategist of distinction. He is pan-Nigerian and cosmopolitan. He is also a steady hand in economic management,” Abubakar said.
