Six people were killed and nine others injured in a tragic accident that occurred on the Lekki-Epe Expressway in Lagos State on Monday.
The crash, which involved a blue Volvo FL6 truck and a white Mazda commercial bus (Reg No. AKD 336YD), occurred at the Ibeju bus stop on the Lekki-Epe Expressway.
The deceased persons consist of two adult males, three females and one male child, while those who sustained varying degrees of injuries include three males and six females.
Four other lucky ones escaped unhurt.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the crash was caused by a combination of overspeeding, route violation, and dangerous driving.
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) responded promptly to the scene, providing medical care to the injured and transporting them to nearby hospitals.
The Lagos Sector Commander, Corps Commander Kehinde G. Hamzat, expressed sympathy for the families of the victims and reiterated the importance of safe driving practices.
He emphasised that overspeeding is a major contributor to fatal accidents and urged drivers to exercise caution and adhere to traffic regulations.
The identities of the victims have not been released, but the FRSC has confirmed that they include both drivers and passengers of the two vehicles involved in the crash.
