The Adamawa State Government has commenced the construction of a 3.7-kilometre road in Hildi Town, reaffirming Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri’s commitment to expanding infrastructure and improving the quality of life across communities in the state.
Work has already commenced on the project, with the contractor, ROCAD Construction, mobilising to site and undertaking clearing, drain excavation, and the casting of drainage structures as part of the initial phase of construction.
The Ministry of Works and Energy Development, led by the Commissioner, Hon. Engr. Mohammed Suleiman (FNICE, FNSE), is providing close technical supervision to ensure the project complies with approved engineering standards and is delivered within the stipulated timeframe.
When completed, the road is expected to significantly improve transportation within Hildi and adjoining communities, enhance connectivity, facilitate the movement of people and goods, and stimulate economic and social development in the area.
