A 14-year-old boy, Hassan Bello, has died at Byazhin Across area of Kubwa, a satellite town in the FCT, after falling from a guava tree.
The incident, City & Crime gathered, happened on Tuesday evening.
Man arraigned for sexually assaulting 4 boys in Anambra
A resident, Adegbenro Badmus, said, “Based on my understanding, Bello always hunted for guava alone. So, on Tuesday evening he went to hunt as usual. He fell from the top of the tree. It took sometime before he was noticed at the foot of the tree with severe injuries. He was rushed to the hospital but didn’t survive as he had lost a lot of blood.”
Badmus said Bello’s remains had been buried according to Islamic rites.
When our reporter visited the area on Thursday, he was told that the matter was not reported to the police as the deceased’s parents felt there was no need.
