A Minna magistrates’ court in Niger State has remanded a 45-year-old man, Kasali Hassan, a.k.a. Alfa, till August 2, 2022, who was brought before it on a two-count charge bordering on unnatural offence and unlawful sexual intercourse with two male children.

The accused, who resides at Limawa area of Minna, was alleged to have on June 26, 2022, at about 1 pm indulged in illegal sex with the victims.

The prosecutor, Inspector Aliyu Yakubu Kuta, read the charge sheet thus: “That you, Kasali Hassan, 45 years old, lured two children of eight years of the same address and had sexual intercourse with them one after the other through their anus.

“During the police investigation, it was revealed that you enticed the children with N50 each and had sexual intercourse with them through their anus on several occasions since May, 2022.”

Insp Kuta thereafter told the court that the investigation had just commenced, explaining that in view of the seriousness of the two charges, which he noted were not bailable, requested the court to remand the suspect until completion of the police investigation.

The Magistrate, Hajiya Fati Hassan Umar, therefore, ordered that the suspect be remanded.
