Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ilorin Zonal Directorate, on Thursday arrested 47 suspected internet fraudsters during coordinated sting operations across Kwara State.
The suspects were apprehended at various locations, including Awolowo Road, Tanke, Harmony Estate in Ilorin, and the Ganmo and Amoyo areas in Ifelodun Local Government Area.
According to the EFCC, the arrests were based on credible intelligence linking the individuals to various forms of cybercrime.
Items recovered from them include 10 luxury vehicles, 74 assorted mobile phones, 18 laptops, and a motorcycle, believed to be proceeds of illicit activities.

The commission noted that investigations are ongoing, and the suspects will be charged to court upon conclusion.
