EPL: West Ham relegated after 15 years as Arsenal celebrate title 

West Ham United have been relegated from the English Premier League after 15 years in the top flight, despite securing a convincing 3-0 victory over Leeds United on the final day of the season.

The Hammers delivered an impressive performance in front of their home supporters, with Taty Castellanos, Jarrod Bowen and Callum Wilson all finding the net in the second half. However, their fate was ultimately sealed elsewhere as relegation rivals Tottenham Hotspur secured Premier League survival with a 1-0 victory over Everton.

The result means West Ham’s efforts were not enough to preserve their top-flight status, bringing an end to the club’s 15-year stay in the Premier League. They will compete in the Championship next season alongside already relegated Burnley and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Elsewhere, newly crowned Premier League champions Arsenal concluded their title-winning campaign with a 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace. Gabriel Jesus and Noni Madueke were on target as the Gunners finished the season on a high before being presented with the Premier League trophy at Selhurst Park.

Both Arsenal and Crystal Palace will now turn their attention to European finals, with the two clubs set to feature in the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Conference League showpieces respectively in the coming days.

Manchester United also ended the season with a win, defeating Brighton 3-0 away from home. Captain Bruno Fernandes set a new Premier League record for the most assists in a single season during the match.

Meanwhile, Pep Guardiola’s decade-long tenure at Manchester City came to an end with a 2-1 home defeat to Europa League winners.

Chelsea, on the other hand, missed out on European qualification after suffering a 2-1 loss to Sunderland, a result that left them in 10th place in the final league standings.
