The House of Representatives has passed for second reading the N1.738 trillion 2025 budget of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The bill was presented for second reading at the plenary on Tuesday by the House Leader, Prof. Julius Ihonvre, and seconded by the Minority Leader, Rep. Kingsley Chinda.
It would be recalled that the FCT Budget was presented to the House by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in a letter addressed to the Speaker, Abbas Tajuddeen, which was read on Tuesday May 13.
After the presentation by the House Leader, the Speaker, Abbas Tajuddeen, who presided over the plenary put the bill to a voice vote and it was approved by the House.

The Speaker referred the bill to the House Committees on Federal Capital Territory, Committee on FCT Area Councils and Ancillary Matters for further legislative action.
