The Federal Government has announced that the launch of the BisonFly Project will significantly reduce air travel costs for Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).
Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun, disclosed this on Thursday in Abuja during a meeting with relevant stakeholders.
He urged the project team to ensure speedy implementation, according to a statement by the Ministry’s Director of Press, Mohammed Manga.
Represented by the Permanent Secretary, Special Duties, Mr. Raymond Omenka Omachi, the minister explained that the initiative is expected to cut official air travel expenses across the Federal Civil Service by N18-24 billion annually through discounted airfares.

He said this aligns with the Renewed Hope Agenda, Fiscal Policy, and Tax Reforms of the administration, aimed at optimizing costs.
He added that “the BisonFly Project is a strategic initiative of the Ministry of Finance designed to reduce air travel costs across MDAs through a centralized, technology-enabled system.
“By integrating digital booking tools and centralised platforms, the project will ensure transparency and efficiency in official travel arrangements.”
