Fraudster ordered to dig grave, wash blood from accident victims for 6 months

A Kano Shari’a Court sitting in ‘Yan Alluna, Fagge Local Government Area of Kano State has ordered a man to be kept in bondage for six months after he was found guilty of deceiving bereaved families by falsely claiming the deceased owed him money.

The suspect, Salisu Ahmad, was caught attempting to defraud the family of a deceased man, Nasir Ashura, by claiming he was owing him N300,000 for a supposed supply of yam at the beginning of last Ramadan.

After pleading guilty to trespass and fraud charges, the Judge, Khadi Umar Lawan Abubakar ordered that the convict be kept in bondage for six months.

The bondage would be at the Accident and Emergency Unit of Murtala Mohammed Specialist Hospital where he would be washing blood stains from bodies of accident victims for three months and to the abattoir cemetery to be digging fresh graves.
