Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State has reiterated his administration’s commitment to the safety of lives and property, describing security as a top priority of his government.

The governor stated this while receiving the Air Component Commander of Operation HADARIN DAJI, Air Commodore J. I. Jibiya, during a courtesy visit to the Government House in Gusau.

Governor Lawal, in a post on his official social media handle, said the visit was strategic and aimed at aligning security operations in the state with the Nigerian Air Force’s air power doctrine to achieve effective and measurable results in securing lives and property.

According to him, the engagement provided an opportunity to deliberate on how air power doctrines could be adapted to the operational realities of Zamfara State, given the peculiar security challenges confronting the area.

“I must reiterate that the zeal and commitment of the Air Component Commander raise my hopes, especially as he emphasised the application of Joint Terminal Attack Controller and Air-to-Ground Integration exercises to the front lines,” the governor said.

He noted that the approach aligns with the Chief of the Air Staff’s command philosophy of delivering decisive air power effects towards achieving national security objectives.

Governor Lawal further assured that his administration would continue to provide the necessary support to security personnel to enable them to carry out their duties effectively.

In a related development, the governor also visited ongoing state government intervention projects at the Nigeria Police Force Central Police Station in Gusau, aimed at improving the working and living conditions of police officers serving in the state.

It was gathered that the police accommodation at the facility had become dilapidated and required urgent government intervention to provide an enabling environment for personnel.
