Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State says his administration has fulfilled 90 percent of the promises made to the people of the state within three years in office.
The governor said this while receiving the Emir of Rano, Ambassador Muhammad Isa Umaru, who paid him a Sallah homage at the Government House, Kano, on Saturday.
In a statement signed by his spokesman, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, Governor Yusuf said his government has remained committed to delivering democratic dividends through people-oriented policies and developmental projects across key sectors.
He listed achievements in education, healthcare, infrastructure, agriculture, water supply, youth empowerment and economic development, stressing that the initiatives were aimed at improving living standards and repositioning Kano for sustainable growth.

The governor assured the Emir and people of Rano Emirate of the expansion and dualisation of the Karfi–Rano Road, provision of fertiliser to farmers at subsidised rates, and renovation of the Emir’s Palace, among other projects.
He expressed gratitude to the people of the emirate for their support and confidence in his leadership.
Earlier, the Emir of Rano commended the governor for what he described as remarkable achievements within three years.
He cited the completion of five-kilometre roads in Rano, Kibiya and Bunkure Local Government Areas, as well as the continuation of the Kaluwaiwai Water Project.
The Emir also lauded the governor’s role in securing the upgrade of Rano Emirate Hospital to a Federal Medical Centre and the conversion of the School of Rural Technology, Rano, to a Federal Polytechnic.
He pledged the continued support of the emirate towards sustaining peace and stability in Kano State and Nigeria at large.
