The Kano State House of Assembly has passed the N215,378,374,543.63 supplementary budget presented to it by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.
Kamaluddeen Sani Shawai, the Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker, disclosed this in a statement on Monday.
The governor’s request letter was read on the floor of the chamber during the plenary session presided over by Speaker Jibril Ismail Falgore.
While reiterating the Kano State House of Assembly’s commitment towards proper monitoring, the Speaker assured that the legislative arm will track the implementation of the supplementary budget through effective oversight functions and ensure that the funds allocated to each ministry and agency are used judiciously.

The supplementary budget bill will be transmitted to the governor for his assent.
